Abstract

Siddha system propounded by the Siddhars is a unique system which defines health as a perfect state of physical, psychological, social and spiritual wellbeing of an individual. Moolam is the most common health problem throughout the world 50%- 85% of the global population were reported. One such clinical entity is moolam mentioned in Yugi Vaithiya Chindhamani, Yugi munivar further classified Moola Noigal into 21 types. Naaga sangu parpam is one among the effective Herbo mineral formulation in management of Moolam.  The various literatures were carried out in the following text, Indian materia medica, AK nadkarni, Text book of Gunapadam thathu jeeva vagupu and various research articles etc, has been reviewed to support the drug Naaga sangu parpam. This formulation contains Zinc and Conch are the primary chief ingredients, which is more primitive to treat ano-rectal diseases.  Those research details were reviewed clearly in this paper.
